Bob Weeks - Fix 4 The Day

A recognized endurance athlete, Bob Weeks, has pushed his body and mind to inconceivable limits.  His journey started off with walk running. In 2001 Bob made a decision to change his way of life, realizing that in order to accomplish his life goals, health, fitness and overall wellness, it was going to have to become a priority. With a bit of patience, practice, and dedication over time, he ran his first 5k.  Bob then moved on to complete a 10k and was overcome with a feeling of epic proportions. That transformed into a marathon in all 50 states including DC while totaling over 100 marathons in 6 years. Running two Marathons in one week is not out of the ordinary now, in fact Bob ran two in a weekend.  Through these events, he felt entirely connected with the cars passing by, the trees that lined the streets, his feet against the pavement, and the people who ran with him. He felt peace. This feeling was his fix. In that moment the idea for the Fix4theDay was born.

Who is Candice Case?

Candice Case - Queen of the Crates

Candice Case joined the F4D team in January 2012.  Originally hired as a blogger for Bob’s CrossFit videos, she began to take on more responsibilities and now functions as the general manager.  Candice wears many hats at F4D and enjoys the daily challenges that keep her in contact with the CrossFit community that she loves so dearly.

Having worked in the health and fitness field for the last 15 years, Candice has experienced many trends in the industry.  When first introduced to CrossFit, she was intimidated by it and thought, “I’ll never able to do that.”  Candice decided to try it “just for the summer” at CrossFit Vitality and after several weeks, signed up for a year membership.  After several of her co-workers earned their CrossFit Level 1 Certifications, Candice again thought, “I could never do that.” A few months later, she earned her certification too.  Candice was amazed while watching the athletes in the CrossFit Games 2010, and once again thought, “I could never compete.”  Since then, she has gone on to compete as a member of an affiliate team for both the 2011 and 2012 Mid Atlantic CrossFit Regionals and even made the podium in a state competition.  Candice laughs, “I’ve learned to never say never!”
